Safe speech zone determining system
ACOUSTIC SCRAMBLER
Acoustic Scrambler is an advanced system for determining a safe speech zone. It determines the range, where intelligibility of speech falls below the definition of intelligible speech.
It works on the principle of STI or STIPa index measurement, when a purpose-modulated signal is used to define the critical areas of the space under consideration. The measurement is made using a calibrated microphone, which measures the transmission of sound waves through the air (from the meeting point to the critical point), or using a vibration sensor, which measures the transmission of sound from the speaker to o surrounding object through which the sound can be transmitted.
The measurement process is very simple. Place a loudspeaker and measurement microphone or vibration sensor at the place where you want to check the speech intelligibility and take the measurement using a PC, tablet, or mobile phone. The measurement system is fully automated and guides the user to the final report.

Compliance with IEC 60268-16.
Listening to the live signal via headphones or tablet,
- you can listen to the live signal in another room using your tablet
Possibility to play your own sound recordings,
- subjective verification of the reliability of results from the current or neighboring area.
Generated PDF report of the results
- report with STI or STIP index ranging between 0 and 1: > 0 represents poor speech intelligibility and high security > 1 represents good speech intelligibility and low security
